Feb 2014: The steering column is from the original Fiero with a cover mounted to the
column. It took quite some time to get the column fitting correctly. There are two screws that hold it
into position at the top and a mounting bracket next to bottom to make sure it doesn't flex. The original
mounting bracket was used from the column, but moved lower. A mounting bracket was made that was welded to
the bracket that attaches to the front firewall. Extra support was need to make sure the steering column was
solid. The column was shortened by compressing the steering shaft into the column, however the dash needed to
be installed to make sure the column cover was at the right point in the dash.
